Power Rangers Super Legends 15th Anniversary Cover Art for the Playstation 2
A archetype beat'em upwards side-scrolling, fighting game Power Rangers Super Legends 15th Anniversary where you lot play as the iconic Power Rangers, accompanied by a classic story. It'south difficult to not like this game. There is a version of this game available on the Nintendo DS, nevertheless, this is a review of the version of the Playstation 2.
Story
Lord Zed has returned to wreak havoc on the Ability Rangers and wants to destroy them all, non but in this dimension simply in all dimensions. He has got his hands on a crystal that allows him to manipulate time and space. Luckily for the Ability Rangers, they have an ally that can exercise the same. Y'all'll be summoning Power Rangers from other dimensions to help you in your fight against evil.
Graphics
Ane could argue that this game lacks item considering the scenes don't have much to them other than what they need to portray. I find this gives the game a nice clean look. Despite the poor graphics, it's still easier on the eyes than a game that attempts to shoehorn loads of detail, which can often make things look messy. Non sure if this was considering of a lack of budget or because they actually aimed for a cleaner graphical art mode, either way, I mostly enjoy it.
Gameplay & Features
This game's gameplay is a tiny flake clunky, non ideal for a fighting game. Animations feel a fleck slow at times and I don't feel equally agile as I'd think a Ability Ranger to be. Just at to the lowest degree the game has a somewhat in-depth fighting organisation. Yous'll unlock plenty of new attacks and combos throughout the game. Besides, the more you lot play as a sure Ability Ranger, the more their attack damage, health, and special abilities level upward. Each Power Ranger you play every bit has a different special ability, simply not really, they will strike poses from the infamous Telly show and suddenly you'll damage every enemy on the screen at once. The only difference betwixt the Ability Rangers' special ability is which poses they make during this set on.
Equally you tin can imagine they match the same poses that their color Power Ranger does in the TV show. Finally, in that location is couch co-op where a friend or sibling tin join you in beating upwardly baddies, until your middle's content, or until yous stop the game.

This game was surprising. Information technology's essentially a Streets of Rage but more than kid-friendly. It has roughly ten hours of content and a elementary just good RPG system to upgrade your Power Rangers. The story isn't something you'd autumn in love with but suits the Ability Rangers well. The main downside to this game is that information technology doesn't age too well and it lacks any reason to replay it. Level design is bones with some decent platforming parts, only all in all, information technology'due south very straightforward. Enemies are besides basic and not especially difficult to fight. This certainly caters more than to kids, only if my son asked me to play this with him, I wouldn't begrudgingly say yep. I'd prefer to play this with him rather than Fortnite. Beating baddies up feels good despite the game'due south flaws.
Pros
- Good upgrades
- Story and animations stay truthful to the Power Rangers
- A solid amount of content
- Decent level design
Cons
- Clunky Controls (in a fighting game)
- Sub-par only decent graphics/fine art style
- The final boss fight is cheap & feels rushed
